I see you. I know this journey.
Hi my name is Rebekah. I have been on two sides of a faith crisis- as fearful wife, too afraid to listen, and as an uncertain saint grappling with my own doubt and grasping for reassurance. I remember feeling like the rug had been pulled from under my feet; I had a pit in my stomach for a year. There were a lot of feelings, a lot of pain, a lot of tears, a lot of prayer, and a lot of study. That dark night of the soul was the very thing that pushed me out of comfort and into a journey. In that process I came to cherish the personal faith I was developing, while also learning to embrace uncertainty. If we allow it, a faith crisis can transform us into a better version of ourselves. A moment that may initially feel like the world is crashing down, may be the very moment that sets us on the course to a more robust faith, based in greater integrity. As you journey, your faith will look different than it did before, but it can be stronger and more deeply rooted in the things that always mattered most. The future is bright!
“You have a chance to rebuild with better things”
“If you feel cracks in your foundation, if your spiritual suprastructure has come crashing down, you have an opportunity to rebuild with things far better than your original construction. Think about forest fires… that burn out old growth that may be shading areas that need revitalization and [allow] for new growth to come underneath.”
